Two things Jennifer Crusie said about writing that I’ve always taken to heart:

1) A sequel is the second-most important story in a character’s life

2) Don’t head-hop.

Perfect Fifths does both, AND is more dialogue-heavy than anything I’ve read since…a play.  I think I’m nearing page 100 and it’s been like 15 minutes, or else it FEELS like these characters have only done fifteen minutes of anything worthwhile.

This is kind of painful.

More on Jessica Darling when I’m done, probably.
