Reading Harlequins again

June 17, 2010

For my eventual recapping project.

I think that romance authors should ask themselves one thing when they write a heroine: Which Athena is she?  Is she generally wonderful, sometimes flawed, more wise than foolish?  Or did she spring full-grown out of the author’s head, with no friends, no social life, no hobbies, no favorite color, and no ability to see the world outside what’s happening to her from the time she meets the hero to the time she marries the hero?

Ughhhh, romances.
