The Julie Garwood Drinking Game

September 13, 2010

I was going to make it a BINGO card, but I’m lazy.

Drink when:

the woman is called “daft”

the man is referred to as “big”

he shouts (drink twice if it has to be pointed out to him)

she shouts (drink twice if it has to be pointed out to her)

the word “honorable” is used to describe the man

the word “beautiful” is used to describe the woman

someone’s mouth “slants over” someone else’s

he grabs her chin

she puts her head under his chin

the woman makes no sense

spooning before marriage to prove that he respects her

first sex on the wedding night

she wins over dogs and/or horses and/or babies and/or all his men

the man reluctantly realizes he’s in love

and when the book is done, they all live happily ever after, and you realize you’ve read yet another formulaic Garwood novel.

Slants over? How does that work? Does the mouth hover at a 45 degree angle over the other person’s mouth?

I get what she’s trying to say but it’s awkward. Also: LOL, the suggested links include a post I’d forgotten writing: The Secret Circle Drinking Game.

Also, Mike says, “Does his PENIS slant over–never mind.” 😀
